Shayla Kilgannon, RDN, IFNCP

Functional Medicine Nutritionist | Registered Dietitian
Pronouns: She/her/hers

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and functional medicine nutritionist with a credential in Integrative and Functional Nutrition (IFNCP) with a passion for making complex nutrition issues make sense. I practice from a Health at Every Size perspective and emphasize intuitive eating and mindfulness through my nutrition care process. I lead with compassion and understanding and focus on supporting a nourishing relationship with food, movement, and the body.

I specialize in disordered eating, eating disorders, digestive disorders and gastrointestinal health, culinary nutrition, women’s health, and body image concerns.

Within these specialty areas, I utilize a whole-person and trauma-informed approach to nutrition, observing and addressing the body as well as the mind and the environment to create a well-rounded and evidence-based approach to wellness. I view food as an ally, something that should be exciting, delicious, and nourishing in every way. I believe that integrating mental health and self-understanding into a nutrition plan is vital in establishing healthy patterns that can be sustained over a lifetime. I am dedicated to supporting each clients’ individualized nutrition journey and to providing support for each person to feel empowered to take control of their own health. Overall, I celebrate courage and human connection and see these as foundational to living a full, meaningful life.

Outside of work, you can find me tending to my garden and small flock of birds (chickens, ducks, etc.), being a mad scientist in the kitchen, cuddling with my cats, trying to finish four books at once, collecting cool rocks to precariously stack around my house, and spending time with my partner, family, and friends.
