Low FODMAP Tomato Basil Green Beans
This low FODMAP green beans recipe takes advantage of some of the best late summer produce. The cook time for these beans may seem slightly lengthy, but it helps to enhance the flavor of the dish and also makes the beans easier to digest.

Ingredients

tablespoons
garlic infused oil
or plain olive oil
1
pound
green beans
cut in half
1
cup
cherry tomatoes
chopped
1/2
teaspoon
salt
1/8
teaspoon
black pepper
1/8
teaspoon
chili flakes
1
teaspoon
lemon juice
2
tablespoons
fresh basil
chopped
Instructions
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil. Add the beans and tomatoes to the skillet, and sprinkle with the spices.
Cover and cook on medium heat until beans and tomatoes soften, about 1/2 hour.
Add the lemon juice, and continue to cook uncovered to let some of the juices evaporate, about another 1/2 hour.
Stir in the fresh basil, remove the skillet from the heat, and serve.
