  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Toss the asparagus in the oil, salt and pepper, and arrange the asparagus in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  2. Roast in oven until tender, about 8 to 15 minutes. Please note: roasting time can vary greatly depending on how thick your asparagus is, check often and remove when still a bit crisp as it will continue to soften after out of the oven.
  3. Mix the oil, vinegar, maple syrup, mustards, garlic, salt and pepper in a small bowl.
  4. Toss the asparagus in the maple Dijon vinaigrette and serve garnished with the almond slices.
