The Why, What and How of Cleansing

WHY

Today we are exposed to more toxic chemicals than ever before. They are in the air we breathe, the food we eat and water we drink. Our skincare products are full of ingredients we can hardly name, our furniture comes with warnings of carcinogens present in the construction and the paint we buy lists a number of hazardous items to our health. A few toxic chemicals may not lead to immediate problems, but when exposed to a toxic cocktail every single day the body eventually begins to suffer.

This toxic chemical overload may display itself in various ways, with some of the more common symptoms being:

  • Allergies
  • Brain fog/inability to concentrate
  • Constipation
  • Digestive problems
  • Fatigue
  • Fluid retention
  • Headaches
  • Impaired immune function
  • Increased belly or visceral fat
  • Insomnia
  • Moodiness/mood disorders
  • Skin issues

What to do with the toxins that are already present in our bodies? Get them out!

Detoxification allows the body to effectively neutralize and eliminate problematic toxins, returning the body to a natural state of balance and warding off many conditions that can lead to disease.

WHAT

Our supervised Cleanse program is designed to work with the body’s innate detoxification processes to reduce the burden of toxic chemicals in the body helping to enhance elimination, support organs that are vital to the detox process such as the liver, rebuild the internal environment and ultimately improve overall health!

Our Cleanse runs for 6 weeks. You are guided through the process each step of the way, allowing you to have a support network of an expert nutritionist as well as your fellow Cleanse group members.

HOW

We help detoxification to happen by removing irritating and toxic substances while rejuvenating, restoring, and rebuilding the body by adding what it may lack such as water, nutrients, vitamins/minerals and rest.

The process of detoxification involves several steps, and while it may seem challenging, it is actually an incredible way to support your body and your health! We are here to guide and support you. Not to mention that our clinically-directed program will provide you with the lasting knowledge and skills to carry out a cleanse of your own at any time you would like in the future.

WHAT OUR CLEANSE IS NOT

It is not uncommon to feel hesitant about cleansing. You may associate cleansing with fad diets that often do not work and are not sustainable in the long term. You may have heard things like “You’ll be exhausted,” “You’ll only lose water weight and then gain it all back,” or worse “You will starve.” While these things may be true for many crash-diet type “cleanses,” they do not apply to our Cleanse program at all.

Our Cleanse is whole foods based, meaning you eat real food and will not go hungry. There is no calorie restriction. Instead, we help you to improve your relationship with food and build healthy eating habits, teach you what foods support health, how to unlearn bad dietary habits, discover hidden food allergies/sensitivities, increase your energy and feel better all around.
