“I help clients feel peaceful with food, exercise, their body and health, no matter the season of life they’re in.”

I am a Functional Medicine Certified Nutritionist and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and I support clients making lasting and positive change toward a healthier life. I provide individuals with the essential tools to strengthen and recover from illness and develop a nourishing relationship with food and their bodies.

Food and health is personal, and just as no one way of eating works for everyone, health can look different for every person.  Believing that food is a powerful medicine, I infuse evidence-based nutrition with the healing power of simple whole foods into your nutrition care plan. My approach to nutrition is holistic in nature: I look at each individual as a unique being with distinct innate and personal needs. My focus is on long-term positive transformation through offering client-centered nutritional counseling, education, mindfulness tools, and emotional awareness.

I seek to motivate and empower my clients to not only lead a self-fulfilling healthy lifestyle, but also achieve a relationship with their bodies and food that is nourishing, flexible, peaceful, sustainable, and balanced.

My clinical focuses are:

  • Cognitive & mental health nutrition
  • Digestive disorders
  • Healthy aging and anti-inflammatory diets
  • Women’s health (pre-and postnatal care, fertility, menopause, PCOS)
  • Chronic metabolic conditions (Type II diabetes, elevated cholesterol, high blood pressure, PCOS)
  • Therapeutic cooking and diets (including MIND, low FODMAP, GF/CF, elimination diets, etc.)
  • Intuitive and mindful eating
  • Emotional and disordered eating
  • Sports nutrition
  • Health At Every Size (HAES) and Weight Neutral provider

I hold a Master’s degree in Whole Foods Nutrition and Research from Bastyr University and a Bachelors degree in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics from UC Davis.  Before returning to private practice, I directed a brain-health focused nutrition teaching kitchen, while cooking with and counseling families to treat a variety of cognitive and neurological disorders (Alzheimer’s, dementia, and cognitive impairment). I also previously worked as a health coach for a Seattle-based wellness company (Arivale), honing my skills in integrating and translating comprehensive blood, genetic SNPs, hormone, and gut microbiome data to generate evidence-based and personalized plans for my patients focusing on all aspects of preventative health, including digestion, healthy aging, sleep and stress management, in addition to nutrition and physical activity. I have worked as a culinary nutrition instructor, personal chef, and in professional kitchens throughout Seattle.

I am also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor (2015). I am a member of the Association for Weight and Size Inclusive Medicine, Early Life Nutrition Alliance, Integrative Women’s Health Institute and the Center for Mindful Eating. I have 15+ years of experience working in the nutrition field in the areas of intuitive eating and body image work, blood sugar management, metabolic and inflammatory disorders, child and family nutrition and culinary education.

In my personal time, I enjoy lifting heavy sh*t, hiking and biking around Seattle, playing frisbee with my Australian shepherd dog (Appa), blasting music in my kitchen while taking strong creative license with recipes, and savoring dark chocolate.
