Food Allergy & Lab Testing
While our nutritionists make every effort to provide nutrition counseling based on our clients’ feedback, their medical and diet history as well as lab results from our clients’ physician(s), sometimes it’s necessary for additional lab testing. The results of these tests can better inform our nutritionists about what’s happening in your body, which they can then use to help formulate a plan for your care.
Lab testing includes checking for food sensitivities; micronutrient levels; genetics; gastrointestinal issues including SIBO, IBS, and IBD; hormones; and more. Below is a sampling of the more popular tests we offer. This list isn’t comprehensive; if you’re looking for a different type of test not noted below, please contact Starkel Nutrition at (206) 853-0534 to schedule an appointment with one of our nutritionists who can recommend specific labs for your circumstances.

Lab fees vary by manufacturer, and also depend whether you have health insurance, and, in some cases, who is your insurance provider. In addition, Starkel Nutrition also charges an analysis fee, which is prorated in 15 minute increments and varies depending on the lab, as some take longer to analyze than others.
