CLINIC UPDATE: All Appointments Moving Online to TELEHEALTH

As a clinic we have been diligently tracking all the news and updates regarding COVID-19. At this time, taking into consideration the recommendations of epidemiologists, health experts as well as government officials, to ensure the utmost safety of our clients, practitioners and staff, we have made the decision to suspend in-person appointments at our clinic and move all of our appointments online. These appointments will still be covered by insurance!

As of March 16, 2020, all of our clients will be receiving communication from us about how to join their Telehealth appointments. It is vital for our clients to check their ChArm portal messages, emails and voicemails for communication from our clinic.

Telehealth is fast, easy and accessible from any device that has a camera and a microphone. We use Zoom for our online appointments. To learn more about how to join a meeting through Zoom, please take a look at their instructional video by clicking here.

In this time of uncertainty, it is important for us to keep each other and the community supported and safe. While it is a disruption to our lives, social distancing has the most positive effect on lessening the spread of the virus. As nutritionists and people, we are here for you and are ready to support your physical and mental health.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility, as well as your support of our small business.

How Does Telehealth Work?

  • Between 24 hours and 1 hour before your meeting, you will receive an email and a ChArm message from our clinic with an invitation to join a Zoom meeting. The subject will indicate your appointment time and the message will contain the link for you to follow.
  • If there are questions or concerns on how to use Zoom, watch Zoom’s instructional video here.
  • For any questions or concerns, please contact your provider through a ChArm message or our administrative assistant Katie at admin@starkelnutrition.com.
  • If telehealth is not connecting within 7-10 minutes of appointment start time, our provider will call you on the phone directly.

We recommend that you join your Zoom meeting ~5-10 minutes early to allow time to address any issues, should they arise.  If you are having any trouble, please send a ChArm message to your provider.  If she has not heard from you within 7-10 minutes of your appointment time, she will call you on the phone number we have on file to conduct your appointment that way.

Got kids at home? No problem! We completely understand and will continue our appointments regardless of background noise or others in the background.

Feeling a little off? We are here for you. One other great advantage of a Telehealth appointment is that if you are feeling a little off, but are still functional, it is a great way to get support from the comfort of your bed or couch.

Need to stock up on supplements? Reach out to us and we are happy to drop ship directly to your home. For those using Wellevate and Fullscript, please continue to do so.

Maintain normalcy. As much as this virus is causing disruption to daily life, we hope that maintaining your appointments will bring some normalcy to you. All of us at Starkel Nutrition also appreciate you adapting to these online appointments.  All our practitioners’ and administration’s livelihood depends on continuing our work.  We thank you very much!

Zoom online appointments are fast, easy and risk-free. Thank you for your help in keeping our community safe. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any comments or questions.
