Seedy Cocoa Bliss Balls

These bliss balls come together quickly in about 10 minutes and are a supportive snack option for women’s hormonal balance, especially in the late luteal phase when fatigue, sweet cravings, and mood swings can ramp up. Almond butter, tahini, sunflower seeds, and sesame seeds provide healthy fats and minerals like magnesium and calcium, which can help reduce period pain. Cocoa powder adds rich flavor and pure maple syrup adds just enough sweetness to satisfy cravings without feeling a blood sugar crash afterwards.

Prep time: 10 Minutes

Makes about 12

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup unsweetened creamy almond butter

  • 1⁄4 cup tahini

  • 1⁄2 cup raw sunflower seeds

  • 1⁄4 cup sesame seeds

  • 1⁄2 cup unsweetened fine shredded coconut, plus more for rolling

  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa or cacao powder

  • 4 tablespoons pure maple syrup

  • Pinch of sea salt

Directions:

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the almond butter, tahini, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, coconut, cocoa powder, maple syrup and sea salt.
  2. Stir to form a thick dough. Break off pieces of the dough and roll into 12 medium-size balls.
  3. Roll each ball in coconut flakes.
  4. Store in a closed container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
