Emmilia Smith, MS, RDN/CD
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist | Stress Management Specialist | Chronic Disorder Specialist
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers || Appointments Available In Person & through Telehealth
With a Health At Every Size approach, Emmilia aims to guide clients to uncover any imbalances within their health through an evidence-based holistic lens. She employs the power of science, mindfulness, and intrinsic motivation to propel her clients toward their goals. She feels her success as a functional medicine nutritionist comes from her ability to empathize with others. She honors every person’s needs and personal relationship with food. Her goal as a nutrition counselor is to dismantle the belief that a person has to fit a certain mold and empower her clients to believe that they are worthy of nourishing and loving their own unique body.
To fully understand and integrate mindfulness into her practice, she is currently working on becoming a certified mindful eating practitioner through The Center for Mindful Eating.
Emmilia’s Clinical Focuses are:
-
Disordered Eating
-
Mindfulness and Mindful Eating
-
Stress Management
-
Digestive Issues – Microbiome Imbalances, IBS, IBD, Celiac Disease
- Metabolic Conditions – Diabetes, Prediabetes, Heart Health
When Emmilia is not in the office, she can be found playing with her cat, reading romance novels, walking/jogging around her neighborhood, and cooking with her partner. She is a big enneagram nerd and loves discussing and guessing people’s personality types.
Here at Rooted Path Nutrition and Eating Disorders, we are always assessing whether outpatient is still the most appropriate level of care, and will make recommendations to trusted providers within our network if we see fit. Don’t hesitate to reach out, our providers offer a free 20 minute meet and greet to assess if it could be a good fit – and if not we can point you in the right direction!Ultimately, where you begin is less important than where you end up. Taking that first step gets you closer to finding the place that works best for YOU.
