Magdalynn (Maddie) Hays, MS, CNS

“I prioritize my clients’ healthspan and longevity by using evidence-based strategies, lab markers, individual preferences, and other relevant data to create a personalized, comprehensive nutrition plan.”

I am a Certified Nutrition Specialist who enjoys helping my clients prioritize their health through food, lab data, and other functional metrics. I am especially passionate about preserving muscle health and function, supporting blood sugar and digestion, developing food plans for recreational athletes, and identifying potential dietary triggers for various symptoms.

My areas of focus include:

  • Sports nutrition
  • Cardiometabolic health
  • Gastrointestinal health and the gut microbiome
  • Women’s and men’s health
  • Food allergies, sensitivities, and intolerances

I am skilled in interpreting functional lab data, including continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), stool, hormones, and DEXA, among others. When working with clients, I use the available data, their reported symptoms, and their personal preferences to tailor the nutrition plan completely to their needs.

I received my Master of Science degree in Nutrition from the National University of Natural Medicine, located in Portland, Oregon. I am also board-certified through the American Nutrition Association, holding the credential of Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS). I am a Certified Nutritionist in Washington. My education focused on functional nutrition and I have completed additional training in sports nutrition, gastrointestinal health, and metabolic health.

When I’m not with clients, you’ll often find me out on a run, lifting weights in the gym, taking a walk with my dog (usually while listening to a podcast), working through my neverending book list, or cooking a delicious meal with my husband.
