Combine the apples, cranberries, 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice and 3 tablespoons sucanat in a greased 8-inch square pan.
In a separate bowl, stir together crumble ingredients, except pumpkin puree and water. Stir together pumpkin puree and water, then pour over oats mixture. Use a fork or your fingers to blend pumpkin mixture into the oat mixture until it resembles a loose cookie dough.
Crumble 'dough' over apple-cranberry mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes.
