This creamy chocolate avocado pudding comes together quickly and provides a good source of healthy fats, B vitamins, magnesium, and fiber for a satisfying and balanced treat.

Serves 4-6 


  • 2 avocados, pitted
  • ½ cup raw cacao powder or carob powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 3 dates, pitted
  • 2 tablespoons almond butter
  • 1 ½ cups water (or more as needed)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon protein powder
  • Optional: Cacao nibs, to top


  1. In the bowl of a food processor, add the avocados, cacao powder, vanilla, salt, dates, almond butter, water, and protein powder (if using). Blend until smooth and creamy, adding more water as needed.
  2. Chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour before serving.
  3. Top with the cacao nibs, if using.
